World Of Warcraft Guides!…who Needs One?

That is a great starting point.

At the outset you probably need to be aware of some of the history of the game.

The game, fourth in the series, was produced by Blizzard Entertainment and was announced in September 2001. WoW online was finally released on November 23rd 2004, which coincided with the 10th anniversary of the World of Warcraft franchise.

WoW is a massively multiplayer on line role-playing game (MMORPG). By December 2008 it boasted over 11.5 million monthly subscriptions and holds the Guinness World Record for the most popular MMORPG by subscribers.

Ongoing growth has been a priority with two major expansions; The Burning Crusade in 2007 and The Wrath of the Lich King in 2008. whilst a third expansion is in the wind, Cataclysm has no release date at this point in time. So as I am sure you can envisage, with such detail and history, a WoW Guide could come in really handy.

A wide-ranging WoW Guide must have material for the new participant as well as advice to the best sources for tips and secrets on gold making, leveling, questing and raiding to aid you increase your enjoyment of the game.

Here are a few primary ideas for those new to the game.

The principal thing you will need is somewhere to play. This is called a server. null The two main ways to play the game are either in ‘Player Vs Player’ mode or ‘Role-Playing’. You can select from a couple of opposing factions The Horde and The Alliance, both of whom provide a range of characters with unusual traits and abilities and your WoW Guide must assist you with your selection of identities.

These are selected from:

The Horde: Blood Elves; Orcs; Trolls; Tauren; Undead.

The Alliance: Draenei; Dwarves; Gnomes; Humans; Night Elves.

Some servers will allow you to choose characters from both factions, others from only one.

As you journey through the game you will win experience, equipment and gold that will improve your abilities and strengths. As you progress you will meet lots of computer characters and thousands of real players with whom you can play. Most of them are first-rate people but, like in life, the are a few odd ones. As you move through the levels from 1 to 80, a quality WoW Guide is of great help in directing your efforts.

Another matter to look out for are professions that will help you very much if you are careful in your selection

The various professions available are:

Alchemy; Blacksmithing; Cooking; Enchanting; Engineering; First Aid; Fishing; Herbalism; Inscription; Jewelcrafting; Leather Working; Mining; Skinning; Tailoring.

The final selection to make at this point in time is which class to select. All are very unique with differing styles of play so a guide to them all would very much help your option.

These classes are:

Death Knight; Druid; Hunter; Mage; Paladin; Priest; Rogue; Shaman; Warlock and Warrior.

And that’s only the beginning….

Does it all make sense? If you have not played the game, probably not. So wouldn’t it be pleasant if there was a WoW Guide to lead you through the whole procedure and help you along the way.
